The only principles that change are the ones in schools Our MORAL PRINCIPLES are not supposed to change. Living life in good ways does not mean we should always attack other humans. But people learn from the negative that is shown on the media now days. It is acceptable to be rude,it is acceptable to steal, it is acceptable to disrespect elders, it is acceptable to be nasty to another human. Hate is everywhere and it is important that we do not allow it into our hearts. We must go to Creator in prayer and we must go to our Elders and seek solutions. Negativity brings us down and we cannot allow that.

Being Indian on the internet does not matter as much as being Indian at home in all the daily things one must do. The walk brings people one on one so they can see the person in reality instead of fantasy. Knowing a person firsthand is the true way to know a persons heart. This is not done thru a computer across the land. Gossip is not respect nor is hearsay. Respect is from being in contact and knowing a person. Elder's Meditation of the Day November 7
Abuse come in many forms, It does not necessarily mean from alcohol abuse. A person who does not drink can abuse just as fast as one who drinks. Mental abuse towards spouse or children is a terrible thing because it rapes a persons mind and leaves scars for a lifetime. Physical abuse is not a good thing either, beating the wife or children, kicking the pets or taking it out on the neighbors. Physical scars tend to go away unless they are stitch marks , and Mental scars never go away because they are implanted in our memory banks. Not such a great way to walk is it?

Adaptation has become a vital way for us as a people. We have learned to adapt to many things because of the on going persecution of our beliefs. If the non Indian people would ever stop trying to tell us how to worship, when to worship, or where to worship, then maybe we could live in more harmony. We want our children to get as much education as possible so they can aide in the struggle to obtain EQUALITY for the Indian ,Just as the whites, blacks and Hispanics are allowed. Every since I was a child I always felt I was on the outside. I was called many bad names and even in my autumn years I still get the same from some. I was taught that I must give prayer for those sick minded people.

Learning the language is good but many have become extinct due to the onslaught of people coming here and beating us when we spoke one word of our native tongue.

Elder's Meditation of the Day November 16
Some people in life seem to think money is the answer to everything, But it cannot buy real love. We need to see that when people die all of the bad things that money causes in families because Jr, says sis got more than he or the other way around. Families break up and no longer associate with each other. Money causes greed, anger, envy, and many more things to many people. Fortunately there are a few who will use their money to help those less fortunate by buying them a home,car or something that is really needed and appreciated. If you have a few extra dollars please help someone in need.Are we thankful for what we have or do we take it for granted?
My responsibilities had me with a family waiting for the suffering to cease. His battle was over finally and I believe singing a death song is an honor to help the deceased on the journey and showing respect to the family. I was asked how much do I charge and snickered, My reply was take care of my gas and I heard a reply of "OH?" The wife had been scammed by a so called Indian of smoke and mirrors before when her parents passed. We talked a good while about things in life and I feel thankful Creator allowed me the responsibility. I also feel that no Spiritual person should ever have a set fee to do something of such Honor and respect for a family. That is not how things are supposed to be done. But an offering for gasoline is appropriate depending on mileage. Many provide food and lodging depending on the extremity of the trip. So always ask how much they charge and decide from your answer. Genuine Spirituals do not demand money or have a set fee. Why has money been allowed to interfere in our Sacredness? Walk a good way for Creator.

The Creator allows each of us a walk, and it is how we choose to walk daily, that really counts in Creators eyes. We can say things with good intention but if we say it we should follow thru. I am guilty of doing this my self. Don't we remember our word is supposed to be honor? We must always remember that if we say we will do something to keep our word. Remember things that were spoke of as a child by our parents and they never happened? Do not speak it unless you are really going to follow through. We must keep the circle strong.

When a baby is born they are in need of special care by touch, smell and sound which become feelings. As they grow older they obtain more needs and feelings. The forming of intimacy is being done within the human brain and then it becomes a necessity. Being intimate does not mean a man and woman in a bedroom. It curtails many different things like being able to speak to others in a direct way one on one, or being able to have a close intimate time with Creator and the ancestors. We must learn these ways and not let them be lost forever. We can become intimate with the earth, the waters, the winds, and the fires of the planet. A good place to seek intimacy is a sweat lodge in prayer.

A real friend once told me, "In order for us to have a good life we must weed our garden daily". If you watch the field weeds grow you will see they most always have a pod that expels thousands of seeds in a season. Five plants will produce approximate 50,000 seeds or more so what does that do to the world? We have the birds who help keep things in check and then only a few seeds get planted. But we must see that in our heads even if we have been called bird brained, we do not have birds to do the weeding for us, so we must do it our own selves.

It is referred to as security, when in fact it all comes down to greed of the wealthy.

We must strive to be a part of the solution not a part of the problem. If we just sit back and do nothing we then become a part of the problem. I learned a long time ago that a major problem is at election times. When people complain about how bad someone is and sits back and does not vote and the same person gets re elected and they became a part of the problem because they pretty much re elect the person back into office by what ever excuse they come up with to not vote. If we want change we need every person available to make the change. This also applies to our drinking because we must have courage to change the things we can. Strength comes in numbers not just a few. Sobriety programs have shown this over and over by support of each other.

The white man proclaims to be supreme ruler due to a bible saying man is over all creatures. Indians say "All things are equal in the circle of life". Money rules the world and greed is right beside of it. To kill off the trees and destroy our air and water affects the wildlife we depend on to take care of the balance. This affects the quality of human life and shortens it. Have you ever thought of why there is so much illness today? Man depends on synthetic because he has destroyed almost all of the original medicines. How much will you pay for air in a can? Many already buy water.

Elder's Meditation of the Day November 30
The teaching of the directions and the part we have in the circle of life are important. Yet we are just another spoke in the wheel helping to support something greater than self. If we choose a spot on a circle and follow it around to the place we started we pass every point and place once and then we are ready to start again.
