Elder's Meditation of the Day April 1
Msit Nókmaq/All My Relations,
We need to include prayer in all we do daily, Not just when we are in trouble or feel the need. Many wait until it is too late then pray for help to get out of trouble or some sort of crisis. People in Turmoil have no direction,
therefore we must keep our calm as much as possible and not panic. Take a deep breath step back and look at the full picture not just a segment of it. We are to check on Elders, children should not go hungry and we should not be selfish as some choose to be. This is not what Creator intended for us but we have some here that try to order Creator around and that is not good,This is why we are in the turmoil we are right now, We all can solve it together .A bundle of Arrows is stronger than a single arrow, May we all walk in Harmony and peace of mind.

What part am I doing to help my future generations? Am I sitting and letting the world pass by without speaking up to protect it? Why are we allowing people to disrespect the earth and destroy it for the desire of riches? The questions are valid and of concern that the earth is being destroyed at 10,000 or more acres right at this moment. It will not take long to consume the whole earth. Bury Nuclear waste for 10,000 years! They should be searching for an antidote to break it down safely. Mankind is not so kind to the earth which they come from.

Msit Nókmaq/All My Relations, If each person walks the red road from the heart, things will come forth in abundance. If one chooses to walk it for other reasons then they are asking for trouble. We need to look inside ourselves for motives. The story about the battle between bear and the wolf do not apply because they both carry strong medicines and no one wins the battle. We must keep constant vigil with prayer and keep any mind altering substances from our bodies. When we alter the brain waves with drugs or alcohol we stop the common sense and become less aware of our surroundings.We need to be in control of our own individual well being. Others cannot take care of that for us.

Always pray for other people and Creator will give you more than you could imagine. In Sweat lodge we hold a sacred round where people can pray for themselves. It is suggested though that they not ask for winning the lottery, Cadillac or a new Mercedes. Sometimes health is an issue for a person so it is good to ask for healing. If you need strength prayer is always a good place to start.

Male ego cannot step into the way because a woman has many teachings that men do not have. Men learn from their mothers, sisters, grandmothers and aunties plus the women of the nations.How can we not hear? How can we not see? How can we not follow?

Have Love for our earth "It is our only home" while here. Why litter it with toxic waste, fast food garbage, and all the things we see on the highways and by ways. Dogs do not defecate in their personal area yet humans do and claim to be superior over all creatures. What a nice world the superior creature has made, our air is becoming deadly, our water is becoming deadly, our ground for crops is becoming deadly and very few can see it happening. We need to take a stand and stop big business from destroying what little we have left. If Grandpa meant listening and watching the animals then there was a definite reason or reasons. Do we see animals destroying the earth? No we see humans destroying the animals, other humans and the earth. What part will I do today to help save our place we call home? Humans are the most dangerous of all creatures on this earth. Just look around and see.

Elder's Meditation of the Day April 10
Msit Nókmaq/All My Relations, I am told by scientist friends that every day in the rain forests the loss of insect species is catastrophic. The insects play an important part in our relationship to the world. If there is a certain group killed off then it causes problems in the balance. It causes another species to become supreme and over run the others thus we have over populated species. Any time an animal , insect, or other living creature is wiped out the balance is done. There is no going back and "Man should stop playing God". Many species are like that now because the ones who eat them are causing them to become extinct. All life will eventually vanish if we do not do something now. Everything on this earth survives because they depend on each other for existence and balance. Creator made the earth and existence perfect, he allowed man to care for it and man has pissed on Creators parade.

Many years I had turned my back on the ways,and many years Elders did ask me when I was going to sober up and walk the road that was meant to be. I could only answer to them "I do not know when because I have no idea when that will be if ever". Once I sobered up things changed so great. My body cleaned out, I started praying more frequently and gave thanks every day as I still do. My walk today is a hard one but I need to remember I walked away from it for many years so now is pay back time.

Who gave the United States Government the right to judge how much of our body is Indian? I love it when someone says " I am part Indian" My reply is what part a finger, hand, feet leg what? They gaze back bewildered. Then I explain to them we are or we are not Indian it is how we choose to walk with the blood that is in our veins. I am not ashamed of being a half breed I am just as Creator made me not some self righteous government entity. The only miracle they can do is steal money without getting caught. We are taught better than that. If you make claim to your ancestral lineage then so be it! I am not your judge anymore than you are mine. Always walk a good path and keep a clean heart and mind. Do not alter them with drugs or alcohol.

Look at a handful of sand and try to look closely at the grains. They may be different shaped but they all are from the same family. Humans are just like the sand and they need to rely upon each other for support. People should do the best they possibly can do, but not expect way too much from themselves. Conflict is a daily part of life, It is how we deal with it that really counts. We can accept things or we can resist but in the end it is our own peace of mind that has been toiled with. We need to re-process our thinking to accept that things are exactly the way they are and we have no control over people, places or things. Acceptance is the key to my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find no serenity until I accept that person,place or thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in Creators world by mistake. Until I could accept my addictions, I could not stay sober and clean;unless I accept life completely on life's terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and my attitudes.

When the term Medicine Man is used it is like someone scratching their fingernails on a chalk board. There are no Medicine Men, that is a term conjured up by non American Indian settlers who asked the tribal Spiritual person to help in times of sickness or disaster. Hollywood has used the term very common as if it were a reality. Old Pioneers did not refer to someone as a medicine person until the person was able to perform some kind of healing for family or friends. All people carry medicines good or bad and it depends on how one uses them as to who they really are. This does not make all people medicine men or women as Hollywood would put it oral and written. Some people carry bear medicines, others may carry winged creatures medicines, it makes no difference which one a person carries because Creator has us all where he wants us at the correct time. This is how things work and certainly not on our time. The term "Medicine Man", actually needs to be changed to Spiritual Leader because of the very strong prayers done in healings along with herbal medications.

Sometimes it is difficult to pass on the information if one is not receptive to pay attention and listen. We can place the food for thought on a plate but not everyone will eat of it. Some will not like it , yet never even had a taste or one bite of it. Often makes me think of this when I hear children and adults in public or at functions, state they hate certain foods and when asked if they ever had it they say "no". How can one hate or not like something if they never tried it. :It is called conditional brainwashing.

When we use prayer to enter into the other worlds we are able to see things we usually cannot see otherwise. Some people refer to this as meditating but we just refer to it as a journey to the other worlds. We are able to see how to go about things without making too many waves, or we can see how to do good for the world and self. one must be of One Spirit and Mind in order to do this. Prayer is the key to unlock the door.

If people do not care about the earth today and keep thinking about their pocket books and money, "We will not have an earth"! Too many people are raping the resources of the lands and taking away our oxygen by destroying trees and polluting the air, exterminating our medicines by replacing them with synthetics and then we get superior illnesses because scientists want to play God. Our water quality is being destroyed due to garbage and feces being placed into it. If this keeps up we will not have a home to live. But man seems to think we can go elsewhere on another planet and ruin it like this place. Greed is a vital factor in why our earth is being destroyed. MONEY MONEY MONEY We cannot live with out it because it has become the GOD of all. Even the churches demand it. Live life simple yet stand up and tell corporate we are tired of our home called earth being destroyed.Some people who try to blame everything on Creator might say, "Why did Creator allow all this evil to come into the world?" "How can a loving Creator be in charge of a world that is so filled with greed, evil and pain?"

Why is it most people are not satisfied with the necessities in life? Our needs are met by Creator daily, but for many humans, that is not enough! Material items do not make a person more spiritual, paying money to a church daily or weekly does not make a person spiritual.. The more you have and hold the more you spend wasted time worrying about who is going to take it all away. "The richest people are the ones with the least". If you see someone who is down and out do not hesitate to help them. One day you might be in the same shoes.

Even though many of us disagree with the churches for their religion, We should at least agree that prayer is an important part of a persons Spiritual life. Without it life seems so nasty. If we use prayer in all that we do eventually we will come to a conclusion that it really works. Just calling upon Creator when we are in dire times may not be enough. How would we like it if someone calls us just when they want to borrow something yet they never come around otherwise? This is something to think about very seriously.

We need to include prayer in all we do daily, Not just when we are in trouble or feel the need. Many wait until it is too late then pray for help to get out of trouble or some sort of crisis. People in Turmoil have no direction,
therefore we must keep our calm as much as possible and not panic. Take a deep breath step back and look at the full picture not just a segment of it. We are to check on Elders, children should not go hungry and we should not be selfish as some choose to be. This is not what Creator intended for us but we have some here that try to order Creator around and that is not good,This is why we are in the turmoil we are right now, We all can solve it together .A bundle of Arrows is stronger than a single arrow, May we all walk in Harmony and peace of mind.

We must keep constant vigil with prayer and keep any mind altering substances from our bodies. When we alter the brain waves with drugs or alcohol we stop the common sense and become less aware of our surroundings.We need to be in control of our own individual well being. Others cannot take care of that for us.

Have Love for our earth "It is our only home" while here. Why litter it with toxic waste, fast food garbage, and all the things we see on the highways and by ways. Dogs do not defecate in their personal area yet humans do and claim to be superior over all creatures. What a nice world the superior creature has made, our air is becoming deadly, our water is becoming deadly, our ground for crops is becoming deadly and very few can see it happening. We need to take a stand and stop big business from destroying what little we have left. If Grandpa meant listening and watching the animals then there was a definite reason or reasons. Do we see animals destroying the earth? No we see humans destroying the animals, other humans and the earth. What part will I do today to help save our place we call home? Humans are the most dangerous of all creatures on this earth. Just look around and see.

Msit Nókmaq/All My Relations, I am told by scientist friends that every day in the rain forests the loss of insect species is catastrophic. The insects play an important part in our relationship to the world. If there is a certain group killed off then it causes problems in the balance. It causes another species to become supreme and over run the others thus we have over populated species. Any time an animal , insect, or other living creature is wiped out the balance is done. There is no going back and "Man should stop playing God". Many species are like that now because the ones who eat them are causing them to become extinct. All life will eventually vanish if we do not do something now. Everything on this earth survives because they depend on each other for existence and balance. Creator made the earth and existence perfect, he allowed man to care for it and man has pissed on Creators parade.

Who gave the United States Government the right to judge how much of our body is Indian? I love it when someone says " I am part Indian" My reply is what part a finger, hand, feet leg what? They gaze back bewildered. Then I explain to them we are or we are not Indian it is how we choose to walk with the blood that is in our veins. I am not ashamed of being a half breed I am just as Creator made me not some self righteous government entity. The only miracle they can do is steal money without getting caught. We are taught better than that. If you make claim to your ancestral lineage then so be it! I am not your judge anymore than you are mine. Always walk a good path and keep a clean heart and mind. Do not alter them with drugs or alcohol.

Conflict is a daily part of life, It is how we deal with it that really counts. We can accept things or we can resist but in the end it is our own peace of mind that has been toiled with. We need to re-process our thinking to accept that things are exactly the way they are and we have no control over people, places or things. Acceptance is the key to my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find no serenity until I accept that person,place or thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in Creators world by mistake. Until I could accept my addictions, I could not stay sober and clean;unless I accept life completely on life's terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and my attitudes.

There are no Medicine Men, that is a term conjured up by non American Indian settlers who asked the tribal Spiritual person to help in times of sickness or disaster. Hollywood has used the term very common as if it were a reality. Old Pioneers did not refer to someone as a medicine person until the person was able to perform some kind of healing for family or friends. All people carry medicines good or bad and it depends on how one uses them as to who they really are. This does not make all people medicine men or women as Hollywood would put it oral and written. Some people carry bear medicines, others may carry winged creatures medicines, it makes no difference which one a person carries because Creator has us all where he wants us at the correct time. This is how things work and certainly not on our time. The term "Medicine Man", actually needs to be changed to Spiritual Leader because of the very strong prayers done in healings along with herbal medications.

Msit Nókmaq/All My Relations,
Sometimes it is difficult to pass on the information if one is not receptive to pay attention and listen. We can place the food for thought on a plate but not everyone will eat of it. Some will not like it , yet never even had a taste or one bite of it. Often makes me think of this when I hear children and adults in public or at functions, state they hate certain foods and when asked if they ever had it they say "no". How can one hate or not like something if they never tried it. :It is called conditional brainwashing.

When we use prayer to enter into the other worlds we are able to see things we usually cannot see otherwise. Some people refer to this as meditating but we just refer to it as a journey to the other worlds. We are able to see how to go about things without making too many waves, or we can see how to do good for the world and self. one must be of One Spirit and Mind in order to do this. Prayer is the key to unlock the door.

If people do not care about the earth today and keep thinking about their pocket books and money, "We will not have an earth"! Too many people are raping the resources of the lands and taking away our oxygen by destroying trees and polluting the air, exterminating our medicines by replacing them with synthetics and then we get superior illnesses because scientists want to play God. Our water quality is being destroyed due to garbage and feces being placed into it. If this keeps up we will not have a home to live. But man seems to think we can go elsewhere on another planet and ruin it like this place. Greed is a vital factor in why our earth is being destroyed. MONEY MONEY MONEY We cannot live with out it because it has become the GOD of all. Even the churches demand it. Live life simple yet stand up and tell corporate we are tired of our home called earth being destroyed.Some people who try to blame everything on Creator might say, "Why did Creator allow all this evil to come into the world?" "How can a loving Creator be in charge of a world that is so filled with greed, evil and pain?"

Why is it most people are not satisfied with the necessities in life? Our needs are met by Creator daily, but for many humans, that is not enough! Material items do not make a person more spiritual, paying money to a church daily or weekly does not make a person spiritual.. The more you have and hold the more you spend wasted time worrying about who is going to take it all away. "The richest people are the ones with the least". If you see someone who is down and out do not hesitate to help them. One day you might be in the same shoes.
Gitsch Manito-Creator,Wásóq-Spiritworld, I accept that you fulfill my needs daily, I accept and thank you that you do not fulfill my every want. My life is confusing enough without adding more to it.
Please continue to allow me strength and love for the earth, and all living things.

Even though many of us disagree with the churches for their religion, We should at least agree that prayer is an important part of a persons Spiritual life. Without it life seems so nasty. If we use prayer in all that we do eventually we will come to a conclusion that it really works. Just calling upon Creator when we are in dire times may not be enough. How would we like it if someone calls us just when they want to borrow something yet they never come around otherwise? This is something to think about very seriously.
Gitsch Manito-Creator,Wásóq-Spiritworld, Creator in all my dealings I ask you to help me to remember to pray more often and also to make sure I contact people I know, just to let them know I am thinking of them.Help me to not call on you only when I need something and exclude all other times.
